NewsMatch 2018

Double Your Investment in Criminal Justice Journalism Today.

Over the past 12 months, The Crime Report has broken new ground in criminal justice reporting. Just a few examples: an eye-opening series on sex trafficking of minors in Florida by Megan Hadley; a ground-level look at innovative European approaches to juvenile detention by former New York Probation Commissioner Vincent Schiraldi; and a close examination of new models in police training by Isidoro Rodriguez who spent six months with a new class of NYPD recruits.

All are examples of the kind of in-depth journalism we badly need today, and are hard to find in “mainstream media.”

And they couldn’t have been done without your help—as subscribers and donors.

It’s help that all nonprofit journalism needs to survive.

That’s why I’m proud to announce today our participation in the third annual NewsMatch campaign, an initiative by a group of national funders to support online nonprofit journalism outlets like ours across the U.S. The initiative will match $1 for every $1 contribution—no matter how small.

Since 2009, The Crime Report has been the nation’s most comprehensive forum for research, commentary and original reporting in all areas of justice.

Please help us keep doing what we do!
