After another robbery in Albuquerque turned deadly, authorities in New Mexico have announced that the state is joining a network of 20 other states that will gather data on organized retail crime, Governing reports. The program is called the Auror Retail Crime Platform, an online tool that allows retailers to share security video, cellphone images and other information with their local law enforcement -— and contribute data to larger multi-state analysis. Auror has advertised itself as a tool local law enforcement can use to help promote community safety by changing how we investigate retail crime.
