The Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service in Community Policing honors exceptional state, local, tribal, and territorial police officers, deputies, and troopers for outstanding efforts in community policing, and nominations are now being accepted by the Department of Justice for the sixth annual set of awardees. Honored officers, deputies, and troopers will have shown active involvement with their community in one of three areas: field operations, criminal investigations, or innovations in community policing.
