Andrea Cipriano is a Junior at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY), where she majors in Forensic Psychology, with a double minor in Journalism and Interdisciplinary Studies. She writes and edits for the John Jay Sentinel, the college’s student-run newspaper. At the beginning of 2019, Andrea created The Crime Sheet, an online True-Crime Blog where she writes about current crimes, spreads awareness to cold cases, and formulates forensic profiles of serial killers. Brian Demo is a journalism master’s candidate at New York University, enrolled in the school’s Magazine Writing program. Before joining The Crime Report, he was an editorial intern at Straus News. During the internship, he helped cover Lower Manhattan for one the Straus newspapers, Our Town: Downtown. Brian earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration at Elmira College and was a staff writer for EC’s student newspaper, The Octagon. His work at the paper included a journal series on the Holocaust, Solidarity, and the Velvet Revolution during his time studying abroad in Poland and the Czech Republic. Yotam Ponte is a rising Junior at New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study where he studies Journalism, Sociology and Political Science. Yotam is a former editorial intern at Musée Magazine and an occasional contributing writer for his school newspaper, the Washington Square News. He joined The Crime Report in hopes of improving his skills in journalism and becoming familiar with the field of crime and justice reporting. Maria Trovato is a rising junior double with a major in Multi-Platform Journalism and Government and Politics at the University of Maryland (UMD). She is a staff writer at UMD’s student-run newspaper, The Diamondback, and formerly interned at The Real News Network.
