Nineteen of those were shot during an 11-hour stretch Friday night into Saturday, including two men wounded on a crowded sidewalk outside a taco restaurant.

Late Saturday, a 21-year-old man was killed and a 15-year-old boy was wounded as they played basketball in a park. Between Friday into Saturday morning, two men died and at least 17 others were wounded. So far this year, there have been at least 344 homicides in Chicago.  That’s 102 more than this time last year, according to data kept by the Tribune.
