TV “Instamentary” On Kidnapped Cleveland Women to Air This Week

Investigation Discovery has scheduled an special “instamentary” this coming week about the kidnappings of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight in Cleveland, reports the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Airing less than a month after the three women were rescued from suspect Ariel Castro’s home, “House of Horrors: Kidnapped in Cleveland” will air at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 5.

The three women were rescued after a decade of captivity when Berry made a 911 call on May 6. The program says it will include experts attempting “to dissect the psychological dichotomy of suspect Ariel Castro, as friends and neighbors of Castro describe their personal experiences with him over the years, including even having been in the house while the women were chained up in the basement.” “House of Horrors” is a co-production between Investigation Discovery and Britain’s Channel 5 network. A version already has aired in the United Kingdom under the title “Ohio Slave Girls.”
