A Colorado judge said it’s too early to decide whether Fox News reporter Jana Winter should have to reveal her confidential sources in the Aurora theater shooting case or risk going to jail, the Associated Press reports. James Holmes is charged with killing 12 people and injuring 70 in a July 20 attack on a suburban Denver theater. Winter wrote a story citing anonymous law enforcement officials as saying that before the attack, Holmes sent a psychiatrist a notebook containing drawings depicting violence. Holmes’ attorneys say Winter’s sources violated a gag order. The defense wants Winter to reveal her sources so the judge can discipline them. A hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
