Judge: Casey Anthony Still On Probation, Shouldn’t Leave Orlando

Casey Anthony apparently left Orlando after her acquittal on murder charges, but the Orlando Sentinel says she shouldn’t have left. When Circuit Judge Stan Strickland sentenced Anthony on check fraud and related charges in early 2010, he intended for her to serve a one-year probation sentence after her release from jail. That probation should have confined Anthony to Orlando’s Orange County, unless she got approval by her probation officer to leave. Her whereabouts now are not publicly known.

The state believed her probation ended while she was in jail awaiting trial on murder charges. Her complicated sentence in the other case involved 13 counts of check fraud, theft, and fraudulent use of personal identification information involving another woman.
