Promoting Fair Courts Through Recusal

The growth of campaign spending in judicial elections in 39 states nationwide, prompted researchers at the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law to compile a blueprint of best state practices and models to prevent issues of judicial legitimacy.

The new report, “Promoting Fair and Impartial Courts through Recusal Reform,” builds on earlier national guidelines presented by the Brennan Center.
