New Stats: Officers Killed and Assaulted


10.19.09officersThe FBI has just released 2008 statistics on law enforcement officers killed and assaulted in the line of duty. 41 officers were feloniously killed, down from 58 in 2007. The report reveals the circumstances of each incident, including weapons used as well as officer and suspect profiles, and indicates a decreasing number of felonious line-of-duty deaths over the past 10 years.
