On August 7, 2007, a conference titled “A City Looks: The 30th Anniversary of the Arrest of the Son of Sam” took place at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Conducted by the Department of Law, Police Science and Criminal Justice Adminstration and Center on Crime , Media and Justice, speakers included news journalists, authors, and experts on serial murderers.
Panelists include Hon. Edward I. Koch, 105th Mayor of New York City, Sam Roberts, New York Times, Mary Ellen O’Toole, Supervisory Special Agent and Profiler, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Louis Schlesinger, Professor of Psychology, John Jay College, and Jonathan Mahler, author of “Ladies and Gentlemen, The Bronx is Burning.”
