Cleveland Invites Media To Anti-Prostitution Sting Operation

Before hitting the streets as an undercover prostitute, Cleveland police officer Donna Feador usually puts vegetable oil in her hair, and sometimes she gives herself a black eye using makeup, syays the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Feador and two other female officers wearing jeans and sweatshirts went out last night in a Cleveland police effort to rid the streets of prostitution and drugs. Journalists were invited to spread the message that Cleveland isn’t a marketplace for sex and drugs, Mayor Frank Jackson said.

In the operation’s first hour, two women and a man were arrested for soliciting prostitution. One officer said that almost all the female prostitutes share the same motive: They need money to buy alcohol, crack cocaine or heroin.
