Some predicted that David Cunniff would never walk again as a result of his injuries from a shocking assault after a concert in Dallas. He has proven them wrong, reports the city’s Morning News.
Last July, Cunniff became one of the city’s most celebrated crime survivors. He was at an Old 97’s concert at the Gypsy Tea Room in Deep Ellum with his two daughters when he was attacked after he challenged a man–part of a group of skinheads–who had flicked a cigarette butt at a black man. The Morning News tells the story of the attack and his efforts to recover.
