Milwaukee Police Use Tasers More Than 100 Times in Four Months

Between March 31 and July 31, Milwaukee Police used their 14 new Tasers 105 times on suspects, the Journal Sentinel reports. That’s about five times a week. One person shocked was a 63-year-old grandmother trying to keep child welfare officials from taking her grandson.

One man rated the pain as 40 on a scale of one to 10, according to police reports the paper reviewed. Another jumped up and asked officers “Is that all you got?”
