A day after his arrest by two Taxi and Limousine Commission officers on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Mike Wallace of CBS’ “60 Minutes” hasn’t decided whether to pursue legal action against them, Newsday reports. Wallace was arrested Tuesday night in front of a restaurant where he had stopped for takeout meat loaf. When cops questioned his double-parked driver, Wallace stepped out of the car to ask them why. One of the officers alleged Wallace, 86, lunged at him; he handcuffed and charged with disorderly conduct.
“All I was trying to do was protect my meat loaf,” Wallace said. He added that he did not lunge at anyone: “I find it difficult to even lunge into bed.”
