When Stephen Orlofsky quit as a federal judge in Camden, N.J., last year, he said he had grown tired of presiding over drug and gun cases. The rankled fellow members of the bench, including the chief federal judge in New Jersey, says the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Now, Orlofsky has served as a juror in a minor drug case in Camden County Superior Court. The jury convicted a defendant of cocaine possession after deliberating 45 minutes. Orlofsky will be offered the standard $5 a day for two days of service. “It was a great experience,” he said.
