Miami Police Chief John Timoney went on a local radio show and blasted the Miami Herald.
Among other things, the chief said:
–”The paper is a disgrace. The people over there, heads should roll!”
–”The problem, by the way, clearly it is the reporters and the columnists, but the big problem is, there is not one editor over there worth a dime.”
–”They are not doing their homework. I guess they stay at home all day. They don’t read. They don’t do their homework. The job of an editor is much like a schoolteacher. You are supposed to correct the homework. They should factually, you know, correct.”
