Colombian jewel thieves apparently are at it again. The Houston Chronicle says a Colombian organized crime ring may have been responsible for the theft of $1 million in jewelry last night from a traveling salesperson’s car in Houston.
Suspects who shot the windows out of a car parked in a strip shopping center. The same ring is believed responsible for a recent $600,000 jewel heist. In that case, a blue van was used to stop a car driven by a saleswoman and company president visiting Houston jewelers. After stopping the car, men with covered faces broke a car window and took jewelry at gunpoint. A similar case three days earlier involved a traveling jewelry salesman from New Jersey.
