Attorney: Texas Bad-Cop Case Indicative of Broader Corruption

Thirteen people imprisoned on the testimony of a discredited Texas undercover officer were to be released on those charges Monday, nearly four years after they and dozens of other residents – most of them black – were arrested on drug charges.

“This is a story about what is going on in the criminal justice system in the United States today,” Vanita Gupta, an attorney for some of those imprisoned, told NBC’s “Today” show.
