St. Louis Drug Court Commissioner Jane Geiler will be asked to resign today because she used a term in commenting about a black prosecutor that could be considered racially offensive, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. The city’s circuit judges voted yesterday to ask for her resignation. If she resigns, the judges are prepared to offer her severance pay and some other incentives. If she refuses, they say, she could be fired. The content of the controversial statement was not disclosed.
