With Little Oversight, Many NYPD Bosses Work Side Jobs
New York state law allows cops to work as many as 20 hours a week on side jobs, but the NYPD does not have its own financial disclosure requirement or investment policy. The city Conflicts of Interest Board requires only about 130 top NYPD personnel to report on their finances.
