The murder suspect accused of killing two relatives Sunday night in Oklahoma has a “hit list” and intends to kill as many as eight more people, reports The Oklahoman. “Our No. 1 goal right now is to make sure there are no more victims,” said Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel, whose deputies are investigating the killings. The suspect, Michael Dale Vance Jr., 38, is seeking revenge on those he blames for child sexual abuse accusations against him, authorities said.
On a Facebook video, Vance said, “It was all a setup. If you want to know what’s next, stay tuned to your local news.” The statewide manhunt for Vance continued yesterday for a second full day. The FBI has set up a command center to coordinate tips and the state issued a Blue Alert to warn the public. “Deputies are working on this case around the clock,” Whetsel said. “Obviously, as long as he isn’t apprehended, we’re extremely concerned about those he may have indicated that he wishes harm to. Most of those are outside of Oklahoma County. Those law enforcement agencies are providing protection to those people.” Vance is accused of shooting two Wellston, Ok., police officers after they responded to a shots-fired disturbance call Sunday evening.
