11 Women Allege Brutal Sexual Abuse by Mexican Police

Human rights advocates are demanding an investigation of the treatment of women arrested in 2006 during protests in the city of San Salvador Atenco. The victims say they were subjected to rape, beatings and humiliation at the hands of police. A probe could take aim at Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, the governor in charge at the time of the protests and assaults.
