At least six people were hospitalized near Atlanta today after a shooting at a FedEx facility in Kennesaw, Ga., the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The suspect is dead, probably of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Cobb County Police Department got its first call about the shooter at 5:54 a.m.
USA Today said the gunman was described as a baggage handler who opened fire on fellow employees. He is believed to have been armed with a shotgun and a pistol. The gunman reportedly went through the normal security checks on arrival at the facility. A ground driver at the facility said his supervisor told him that the gunman had shot a security guard and had pointed at gun at him.
