Ex-NYC Commissioner Kelly Joining ABC News As Consultant

Former New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly is joining ABC News as a consultant, the network announced. Kelly served as commissioner both under Mayor David Dinkins from 1992 to 1994 and Mayor Michael Bloomberg from 2002 until this year. ABC News President Ben Sherwood said Kelly “successfully reduced the city's violent crime rate by 40 percent and also established the first counterterrorism bureau” of any U.S. police department.

ABC noted that Kelly recently joined Cushman and Wakefield as President of Risk Management Services, suggesting that he would continue in that position and work part-time for ABC.
