National Juvenile Court Group Names Bickett Director


The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, a national provider of training to and research on youth courts, has named Mari Kay Bickett as its executive director as of April 1, Youth Today reports. Bickett replaces Mary Mentaberry, who was executive director of the Reno-based organization for six years.

A Nevada native, Bickett retired from a 16-year tenure heading the Texas Center for the Judiciary, which provides specialized judicial education and training for trial and appellate judges in Texas. She was was the academic director for the National Judicial College, which also is based in Reno.
