Child and youth victimization is not as hidden as previously thought, a new study,”School, Police, and Medical Authority Involvement With Children Who Have Experienced Victimization,” published in the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. Researchers found that almost half of U.S. youth who experience violence, abuse or crime have had at least one of their victimizations known to school, police or medical authorities.
