More Native Hawaiians Incarcerated, Study Finds


The criminal justice system incarcerates Native Hawaiians at a disproportionate rate, found a new report,”The Disparate Treatment of Native Hawaiians in the Criminal Justice System“, released today by the The Office of Hawaiian Affairs. Almost 40 percent of the native population is in Hawaii’s prisons and jails.
