Former Miami Police Chief John Timoney has landed a job with a private security company, says the Miami Herald. Andrews International, which bills says it is the largest privately owned U.S. full-service provider of security and risk mitigation services, has hired Timoney — who will be based in Miami — as senior vice president of business development and consulting and investigations.

Timoney retired in November after being pushed out by newly elected Mayor Tomás Regalado, who had campaigned for new police leadership.
