Holder Outlines Financial Crime Strategy To Crisis Commission

Attorney General Eric Holder says the Justice Department is using “every tool at its disposal” to fight the financial crimes that contributed to the meltdown and could cause another, the Associated Press reports. Holder today will highlight the work of a new, interagency Financial Fraud Enforcement Task Force coordinating efforts between the Justice Department and other agencies.

Holder and others will speak to the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, a 10-member bipartisan panel. The commission is modeled on the panel that examined the causes of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
