D.C. Police Chief Chastises Officer For Gun At Snowball Fight

Washington, D.C., Police Chief Cathy Lanier said it was “totally inappropriate” for veteran off-duty officer Michael Baylor to pull his weapon in response to snowballs hitting his Hummer over the weekend, reports the Washington Post.

Baylor, with almost three decades of service on the D.C. force, is shown in video footage standing outside his vehicle with a gun in his left hand at a snowball fight organized in a street north of downtown Washington. The crowd chanted: “You don’t bring a gun to a snowball fight!” Baylor acknowledged to a uniformed officer and others that he had pulled the gun because he had been hit by snowballs, video shows.
