Justice: For Richer and Poorer


10.02.09courtroomOnly half of the more than 50 million low-income Americans who seek legal assistance receive it, according to a new report from the federal Legal Services Corporation. “Documenting the Justice Gap in America” reveals that lack of funding prevents LSC from providing assistance to half those who seek help in matters including foreclosure, custody disputes and wage discrimination.
