The CDC, part of the federal Department of Health and Human Services, compiles and analyzes a vast array of information on sexual violence at its website. The site includes fact sheets, backgrounders and many links to statistics, reports and organizations pertinent to the subject. The CDC employs 14,000 people in 40 countries and had a 2008 budget of $8.8 billion.
