Crime & Justice News Marks 5th Anniversary Today

Crime & Justice News began five years ago today. Since April 15, 2003, Criminal Justice Journalists has compiled digests of more than 15,400 stories, studies, and reports on criminal justice issues. These are available on our Web site: Anyone can access and search them by entering “as a guest” on the home page and clicking on “Our News Archive.”

We appreciate the support of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, which has been the principal backer of Crime & Justice News since January 2005. We are working on an improved Web site for the service that we hope to launch this summer. Meanwhile, please send us links to interesting stories and suggestions on general content of the digest. We always want to give credit where credit is due. In that spirit, yesterday’s item from the Washington Post on an increase in concealed-weapons permits issued in Virginia should have mentioned that the story was reported initially by the Virginian-Pilot newspaper in Norfolk.
