CA Lawyer Creates Greeting Cards for Inmates


The Los Angeles Times reports that a lawyer from Compton, California has created a greeting card line that is aimed at friends and family of those who are being bars, but the cards are not exactly flying off the racks — yet. Terrye Cheathem, a criminal defense attorney, came up with the idea after her brother in law was arrested.

She spent several years, and $30,000, researching, designing and promoting her two lines of Three Squares cards, which were a big hit at a national convention of prison officials last summer. But so far, only two retail outlets in the Los Angeles area have agreed to sell the cards, the Times reported.
