Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton’s contract as the city’s top police officer was renewed for a second five-year term yesterday, the Los Angeles Times reports, The five-member Los Angeles police commission agreed to the second term for Bratton unanimously.
Commission President John Mack praised the chief for his “enlightened, decisive leadership” saying Bratton was “the right leader at the right time.”
