A San Francisco woman was charged Wednesday in Mendocino County with murdering four of her children after her brother revealed the horrible secret they had kept for four decades, reports the city’s Chronicle. Cheryl Athene Miller, 59, apparently told her brother years ago that she had killed her babies and, racked with guilt, he finally went to police.
The killings allegedly happened between 1965, when Miller was 19, and 1970. The children ranged in age from 11 days old to 14 months. Miller confessed to her brother about the first three killings before the fourth baby was murdered, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Department. The brother came forward in August 2005.
