CA Jury Convicts Teen of Murdering Defense Attorney's Wife

After deliberating for 18 hours, a jury Monday convicted 17-year-old Scott Dyleski of murdering the wife of well-known criminal defense attorney and television legal commentator Daniel Horowitz. According to the Contra Costa Times, the verdict will send the former Boy Scout to prison for life without the possibility of parole.

The jury found Dyleski had murdered Pamela Vitale, 52, Horowitz’s wife, during a burglary at the attorney’s home in the San Francisco Bay Area. The prosecutor said Dyleski killed Vitale on Oct. 15, 2005, as part of a plan to purchase marijuana-growing equipment with stolen credit cards.
