The Crime & Justice News archives will reach a milestone on Monday: Our 10,000th item. Since April 2003, we have been issuing a daily digest of important crime and justice news from around the nation. This free service is sponsored by the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City and edited by Criminal Justice Journalists, a national organization of writers, editors, and broadcasters.

Any Web user may access the archives by entering as a guest on our Web site, There, you may search our database for subjects of interest. Of course, links to many original articles have expired, but you may purchase them at a modest cost from most news media databases. Please continue to suggest stories to us, and we hope that you can make good use of our expanding database.
