Muslims Vent to FBI on Profiling, Other Issues

During a sometimes fractious meeting with Los Angeles-area FBI officials, some Southern California Muslims complained they are the victims of discriminatory law enforcement and racial profiling, the Los Angeles Times reports.

About 100 people attended the April 8 meeting organized by the FBI’s Los Angeles field office and its 2-year-old Multi-Cultural Advisory Committee. “It’s an avenue for communication,” Special Agent M. Catherine Viray told the TImes. “There are always going to be disagreements, but now there is a way to air them.”
