Off Duty Agents Nab LA Gunman

Two off-duty Drug Enforcement Administration agents who were socializing with friends in a New Orleans nightclub this week turned out to be in the right place at the right time to arrest a gun-wielding man who had fired 30 shots at the club with a semi-automatic assault rifle, says the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

When the agents, who heard the shots while listening to music inside, emerged to see what was going on, bystanders pointed out the gunman to them. They confronted the man, persuaded him to drop the weapon and then held him until local police arrived. No one was injured during the incident.
