Sirhan Sirhan, who shot former U.S. Senator, Attorney General and Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy to death during a Los Angeles campaign appearance in 1968, was denied parole this week for the 13th time since his conviction, according to the Associated Press.
Sirhan did not attend this week’s parole hearing at Corcoran State Prison. He also did not appear at his last hearing in 2003. Periodic parole hearings are required under California state law, and Sirhan’s next hearing will be in 2011.
