Massive New FBI Database on Suspected Terrorists

The Washington Times reports that law-enforcement authorities all over the world now have access to an FBI computer database that contains the names of more than 200,000 suspected terrorists and associates.

The database, dubbed the Terrorist Screening Center (TSC), consolidates information from several other databases that were previously maintained by other U.S. agencies. “Now there’s one watch list to which there is ready access to the most thorough, accurate and current information to respond quickly to known or suspected terrorists,” said Donna A. Bucella, the director of the center, during a briefing at FBI headquarters.
