Attorney General Alberto Gonzales announced initiatives yesterday on combating child exploitation and gang violence, the Washington Post reports. Gonzales said the Justice Department can take credit over the last year for helping to prevent any further terrorist attacks on U.S. soil and for continued success in falling crime rates.
“Project Safe Childhood,” will focus on preventing child exploitation over the Internet. Gonzales also outlined an expansion of anti-gang programs, particularly in the most violence-torn cities.
