Ashcroft To Start Consulting Firm In Capitol

Former Attorney General John Ashcroft is starting a consulting company that will advise clients on homeland security, law enforcement, and other issues involving business and government, reports the Associated Press.

The company, based in Washington, D.C., will provide strategic consulting, crisis counseling and security and internal investigative services to corporations and other organizations, a spokeswoman said. Ashcroft spent four years as chief U.S. law enforcement officer; much of his time was devoted to the fight against terrorism after the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. He was a two-term Missouri governor and one-term senator.
