A 20-year-old University of Wisconsin student, whose disappearance early Saturday prompted a wide search, was found alive yesterday near a hotel in Madison where volunteer searchers were staying, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Cold and dehydrated, Audrey Seiler spent a few hours in a hospital and was reunited with her family. Police sought a suspect in her apparent abduction. Seiler reported that she had been taken at knifepoint by a man she did not know. He implied he had a gun.
The case attracted wide attention from the national broadcast media. CNN devoted saturation coverage to the case yesterday afternoon after Seiler was found.
