How 9/11 Hijackers Pulled Off Passport Fraud


Details are emerging of the investigation by the federal panel investigating the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. Time magazine provides more on last week’s report that had been “manipulated in a fraudulent manner.” Time reports that they obtained new Saudi passports, but then “artificially aged them and forged entry and exit stamps – probably with old-fashioned rubber stamps and ink pads – to innocuous countries in the Middle East. A counterterror expert tells Time that “without a microscopic forensic examination, a routine inspector wouldn’t have ascertained that the stamps weren’t valid.”
