Staff members at Connecticut’s juvenile correctional center claim they are routinely sexually harassed and subjected to unsafe working conditions, and state officials are doing little to help them, according to the Hartford Courant.
More than 120 teachers, youth officers and clinicians at the Connecticut Juvenile Training School in Middletown filed a formal complaint with the U.S. Department of Education Monday charging their civil rights are being violated.
They are asking for an immediate investigation into their concerns regarding the school, a 240-bed, high-security facility for boys.
