Carlton Dotson, the roommate of missing Baylor basketball player Patrick Dennehy, was held without bail on a murder charge yesterday. Dotson summoned the FBI on Monday to a Maryland hospital and later admitted killing former teammate Patrick Dennehy, the Waco, Tx., Police Department said, reported the Dallas Morning News.

A Waco police sergeant said Dotson’s confession came after he called a Baylor professor, said he was turning himself in to the FBI and appealed for “everyone’s” prayers “so I can have safe passage wherever I go from here.” He had gone to a hospital in Chestertown, Md., and asked for a mental evaluation. Later, Dotson denied making a confession.

Dotson’s statement to the FBI included a description of a location of Dennehy’s body, and police were searching there last night.
