A Community Police Partnering Center is one of several programs aimed at repairing decades of neighborhood neglect, economic and educational disparities, and bad blood between police and African-Americans in Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Equirer says.
The projects were announced yesterday by Cincinnati Community Action Now as a follow to riots in the city two years ago. The privately funded task force has been developing programs to address racial disparities in employment, education and the justice system. The programs now are ready for implementation.
The police center is described as a clearinghouse for the city’s Community Problem-Oriented Policing Program.
